L’or et l’orage, 2022

Through a collection of images this series recounts the confrontation of the human being with the cycles of life. It was nourished by the deep changes of identity resulting from motherhood. It’s about the ambivalence of a fragile or shattered day-to-day existence : the close continuous coexistence of life and death, fear and tenderness, delight and anxiety, magic and frustration.

Often the round shape is recurrent. It echoes the primal architecture of the womb, of burrows, of caves. It also alludes to the desco da parto (birth tray), a type of Renaissance allegorical painting created to mark the birth of a first child.
